About Let’s Talk Life Platform

Let’s Talk Life Forum is a safe space for young people to openly voice mental health related concerns, doubts, or life-challenges and receive basic psychological support from trained peer volunteers and moderated by mental health professionals at NIMHANS. This forum is designed especially for Indian youth between 18 and 25 years. On the platform, individuals can openly share and post their concerns in an anonymous manner with no personal information disclosed to others.

Key Study Objectives

  • To examine implementation outcomes of deploying peer support forum in college/university campuses, a) To identify the basic profile of students interested in using the support forum and b) To document nature of engagement with the forum and perceived helpfulness of the forum amongst users of the forum.
  • To examine the supportive quality of responses provided by trained peer volunteers.

Study Design

A year-long mixed-method feasibility study conducted across higher education institutions to document forum usage patterns, nature of concerns, and perceived usefulness of peer support through user analytics and qualitative feedback.

Target Group

Indian youth aged 18–25 years, particularly college and university students.

Current Status

The forum is active and available for public to use. Participant onboarding is completed.
